Sr Aelred Erwin OSB of Minster Abbey. R.I.P.
Fr Abbot and the Benedictine Monks of St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth are greatly saddened to hear of the unexpected death of Sr Aelred Erwin OSB of St Mildred’s Priory, Minster-in-Thanet, near Ramsgate in Kent.
The monks of Chilworth used to live just a few miles from the nuns, and, over the years, provided chaplains for their Community.
The two Communities have been great friends since the Sisters arrived in Thanet in 1937.
May Sr Aelred rest in peace. Amen.
