Risen Christ Wooden Cross Icon. Inspired by Icon of the Resurrection , 15th century Monastery of Chora, Istanbul.

The main picture shows Christ victoriously emerging from His tomb watched by Mary Magdalene and the disciples. On either side are depictions of the Last Supper, with Judas reaching forward to dip his morsel into the dish before he betrays Christ and the Crucifixion. At the top are tiny depictions of Christ washing His disciples' feet, the Transfiguration, the risen Christ's appearance to Mary Magdelene, the Supper at Emmaus, and Christ, the glorified Word of God.

Golden highlighting enhances the icon, which measures 15cm by 15cm.
